How it began:
Our group was founded by 7 business people who wanted to network and learn from other like minded entrepreneurs. What bring us together is the desire to create a referral group with heart and good personal connections among the members.
Together we formed an association in April of 2008 and called it Entrepreneurs’ Connection. Our structure is refreshingly different. We promote positive relationships with one another in the form of one-on-one meetings, where we learn about each other’s life and become familiar with each other’s business. This promotes a tone of easy camaraderie during our meetings and contributes greatly to the fun and energized atmosphere when we come together.

Our intention is to be a source of referrals for one another and to mastermind strategies for high quality solutions to whatever problems life presents us with. This requires a high standard of integrity and respect from and toward one another. In a short time we have forged a strong bond and a solid foundation and are now ready to grow into the group of 30+ members for our breakfast meetings. At Entrepreneurs’ Connection we help members grow as individuals and business professionals.

Since civic involvement and the beautification of our communities brings us great pleasure, our first project has been to create and execute a new garden design for the Reading Public Library in downtown Reading. This was celebrated in a ceremony on September 11, 2008. See events page for details.

How we chose our logo:
Our logo reflects the circle as a symbol of unity. Our EC initials are the decorative element, reflecting the colors as described below. The sunflower through the ages has been a symbol of hope and warmth. Combined these images represent our desire to create understanding, friendship and beauty through our group efforts and with one another.

We chose the colors of our website - dark red and shades of gray - because they evoke a feeling of power and energy (dark red), along with security and dependability (gray). Native Americans associate gray with friendship.
